  • Welcome to the blog!

Hi! I'm Rachel and thanks for visiting my blog. It means a lot to me that something here has sparked your interest. Most of the items I post will be photography related. You know...weddings, family photo sessions, maternity/newborn, engagements and so on. I might sometimes tell you about my husband, whom I adore, my 2 dogs and a cat or my other crazy friends and family. I might also share with you some things going on in my life that hopefully you find interesting, or at the very least humorous, give some tips on being 'green', and definitely impart all my fun iPhone photo app images.
If you are here and in need of a photographer, super! I can't wait to hear from you. Let's talk about plans for amazing locations, fun props, gorgeous lighting, and having a really great time creating the most memorable images :)

Amy + Ben {married} New York Wedding Photography

This wedding is very special to me and I know a lot of people have been waiting on the images…here they are! Amy is a dear friend of mine from when I lived in Colorado. We had the most beautiful apartment. Fireplace, patio overlooking the Flatirons, skylight in the kitchen, etc. Definitely had some fun girlfriend times there. Amy had moved back to Boston (by way of grad school at Columbia in NY) and we continued our friendship over the phone. The last time I actually saw this girl was at my wedding over 5 years ago. She had told me about Ben a bunch and then they moved in together and then we got the call. The date was set and they were making it legal. They had their ceremony at West Park Winery, which is about an hour north of New York City and near where Amy’s parents live. Jason and I planed, trained and automobiled it up to Poughkeepsie for the weekend. Amy and Ben picked us up at the train and for me and Amy, it was like no time had passed:)  And in typical Amy fashion, she mentions that she has no bouquet for the ceremony. You know, the ceremony that is tomorrow! That goodness for YouTube! I am now a bouquet maker extraordinaire! Barely 3 days flew by in an instant and Jason and I had an amazing time catching up with old friends and making some wonderful new ones. Since I was actually a guest at this wedding, I only grabbed a few shots during the beautiful ceremony (I danced my you-know-what off the rest of the night!).
