I have meant to post these for a bit now. That always seems to be my story, right?!?! Anyway, in light of Mother’s Day approaching, this post is dedicated to my Ma. Way back when I was at The Art Institute of Colorado, I visited my mom in Illinois. I can’t remember the assignment but she took me to Saint Mary of the Lake Seminary. It is located right near where she grew up and my uncle Mark even attended for awhile. This was when I was still shooting film, specifically slides. Oh, the colors they produced! This seminary is so beautiful, peaceful and really just breathtaking. The Neo-Georgian architecture and nature paths are amazing. Last time I was visiting a few months ago, I wanted to revisit. Ma and I went back. It really hadn’t changed and still gave me such a feeling of serenity and gracefulness.
