  • Welcome to the blog!

Hi! I'm Rachel and thanks for visiting my blog. It means a lot to me that something here has sparked your interest. Most of the items I post will be photography related. You know...weddings, family photo sessions, maternity/newborn, engagements and so on. I might sometimes tell you about my husband, whom I adore, my 2 dogs and a cat or my other crazy friends and family. I might also share with you some things going on in my life that hopefully you find interesting, or at the very least humorous, give some tips on being 'green', and definitely impart all my fun iPhone photo app images.
If you are here and in need of a photographer, super! I can't wait to hear from you. Let's talk about plans for amazing locations, fun props, gorgeous lighting, and having a really great time creating the most memorable images :)

Shawn contacted me in a bit of a rush as they had decide last minute to have a family photography session before her partner, Jan’s, daughters and granddaughter returned to France. I’m so happy I was available. We chose one of my favorite-est lovely locations of Palm Beach Island for the shoot. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful family. I knew Shawn and I had a connection because she started apologizing for picking up trash other people had left at the beach and I laughed. I helped her pick up what we could carry and explained I did stuff like that all the time (sometimes to my husband’s chagrin-like taking home all the recycling from a party in out trunk!)…

This woman. This family. I cannot express the love I truly have for them. I have known them since before they were even dating. They have asked to capture every one of their life moments and I could not be more honored. Now they’re adding a princess to their family. One of the awesome things about Corinne is she’s pretty much up for anything and she inherently trusts me. I had wanted to attempt the milkbath concept for awhile and when she came to me about her maternity portrait session, I suggested it. Thanks to her best friend, Amy, with the awesome tub and to hubs/daddy, Dusty, for being a rockstar assistant we created photographic magic this day.

This is my best friend. And her husband. And her baby bump belly. We shot this session on her birthday and it was just so beautiful. The first half the session was boudoir style so I can’t post those images. You’ll just have to trust me they are some of my most favorite maternity photos. For the second part of the session, we were able to use the extremely picturesque Sundy House in Delray Beach. Love this place. And I love these 2 people, who were so very excited to be 2 + 1.

Happy New Year, Everyone! I celebrated sick on the couch. I know, what a bummer. I swear every time the weather changes, I catch something. I’m finally up and feeling better and trying to get back to normal. And that means catching up on blog posts. I have soooo many awesome sessions to share and I looked and saw the last time I updated the blog was October 3. October 3! Between being extremely booked in November and December (which was awesome!) and being sick and the holidays, time sure did slip away. First post of the new year is always my Santa Mini-Sessions. As usual, I loved them. They are definitely a labor of love for myself and my designer friend, Stacy. We always ask ourselves, ‘What were we thinking??!!??’ Let’s plan and create these photo sessions with Santa and buy all the props and scout locations and make crafts right at the most craziest time of year. And we do it. And people love it! This was the year it almost didn’t happen. But then I started getting booking inquiries at the end of October. From return clients and brand new folks. And let me tell you, that is a super nice feeling. Stacy and I are already planning for next year, so stay tuned. We’re going to be changing things up a bit. Still Santa, still tropical (because you know, Florida!) but more boutique. Honestly, we’re SO excited.

And Merry Christmas from the Wallace Family (last photo) :)
