So happy to share this special (well, they’re all special!) newborn portrait session today. Woke up to an email from Joe. Him and his wife, Ciara, were in south Florida to adopt their newborn baby girl, Lyla. They realized that none of their families would see Lyla at this very precious stage as the Florida adoption process can take quite awhile. That’s where I come in. Usually I shoot the newborns in their own home. It keeps everyone calm and just makes for a beautiful storytelling. Joe then informed me they were staying at a relative’s place that was stuck in the 80’s. Sometimes I think things are just meant to be. With one days notice, I called my dear friend Stacy (she styles the Santa Mini-Sessions), and she was able to let us borrow one of her gorgeous vacation rentals for the session. Between the 4 of us we coordinated the newborn shoot of Lyla in just 3 days. And it was sooo worth it.
